On 5 May 2021, President Ekaterina Trendafilova assigned Judges Roland Dekkers, Mappie Veldt-Foglia, Gilbert Bitti, and Vladimir Mikula (reserve) to Trial Panel I. The assignment follows the notification by the Pre-Trial Judge that the complete case file in the case of the Specialist Prosecutor v. Salih Mustafa (KSC-BC-2020-05) will be ready for transmission to a Trial Panel on 7 May 2021.
In accordance with Rules 116 and 117 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence, upon receipt of the case file, the Trial Panel shall promptly hold a trial preparation conference with the parties, after which it shall set a time limit for any motions to be filed by them prior to the opening of the trial.
The case against Mr Salih Mustafa is the first to be ready for transmission to a trial panel.
