VISITORS TO OUR WEBSITE

The Specialist Chambers collects information about visitors to our website to collect statistics on the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and to improve the site and search functionality. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow the service provider to make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

When someone visits www.scp-ks.org we use a third party service to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor’s use of the website, navigation through the site, the software used and the time spent and other similar information. Search queries on our website and results are logged anonymously.

We retain visitor data for a period in accordance with the requirements of our retention schedule.

JOB APPLICANTS, INTERNS AND OUR CURRENT AND FORMER EMPLOYEES

When individuals apply to work at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office, we will only use the information they give to us to process their application and to monitor recruitment statistics.

The personal data we process includes basic identification and contact details, education and professional training, work experience, and motivation.

Personal data of applicants may also be processed by the European External Action Service (EEAS) when the applications were submitted through the EEAS. For specific information on personal data protection relating to the EEAS, please refer to their website.

Recruitment tests may be processed using online survey tools hosted by third parties. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with further details before the test.

Personal data of applicants will not be shared with third parties, except as required for the purpose of verification of education and employment verification and reference checking in accordance with the consent provided on the application form.

All staff members who have access to and are associated with the processing of personal data are obliged to respect the confidentiality of such data. Confidentiality and personal data protection shall be strictly respected and adhered to throughout the whole recruitment and selection procedure.

Personal information about unsuccessful candidates will be held according to our retention schedule after the recruitment exercise has been completed, and it will then be securely deleted. The Specialist Chambers may retain de-personalised statistical information about applicants to help inform recruitment activities, but no individuals are identifiable from that data.

APPLICANTS TO JOIN OUR LIST(S) OF COUNSEL

When individuals apply to be included in the List(s) of Counsel at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, we will use the information they supply to us to process their application in line with the applicable legal framework.

This information includes basic identification and contact details, education and professional training, work experience, membership of professional associations, language and other skills, previous involvement in criminal and/or disciplinary proceedings, and details of referees.

Personal data of applicants will not be shared with third parties except as required for the purpose of reference checking in accordance with consent provided on the application form.

All staff members who have access to and are associated with the processing of personal data are obliged to respect the confidentiality of such data. Confidentiality and personal data protection will be strictly respected and adhered to throughout the whole procedure.

With the consent of the individual, a limited range of personal data will be made available on a List of Counsel published on our website.

Visitors to our Premises

When someone visits our premises, the Specialist Chambers collects identity information to ensure the security of the building, the safety of our staff, property, and visitors, and to prevent, detect and investigate security and safety incidents on our premises. To this effect, CCTV data is also processed during visits both in real-time and through recording in pursuit of legitimate objectives to issue instructions and orders, enforce instructions and orders and, in particular, take action or actions involving the use of force.

We retain personal data of visitors for a period in accordance with the requirements of our retention schedule to facilitate possible investigations. In the exceptional circumstance of a criminal investigation personal data may be transferred to the national authorities.
