Representatives of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) met today with law students from UBT college in Pristina, in an online event organized in cooperation with the Humanitarian Law Center – Kosovo.
Since the start of the extraordinary public health measures, the KSC has continued its Outreach activities in Kosovo, taking advantage of web-based technology to inform people about the mandate and work of the court and to provide a forum in which participants can ask questions and make comments. Today’s online meeting was the fourth such event held since April. Last week, the Outreach team met with high school students from all over Kosovo who are participating in a program on criminal justice institutions organised by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights.
“Outreach has been a central priority of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers from the beginning and it is vitally important for us to continue to keep the public in Kosovo informed about our institution and its work and commitment to the values of justice,” KSC President Ekaterina Trendafilova said.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers has remained fully operational and is moving forward in pursuing its mandate to ensure fair, impartial and independent proceedings in a safe and secure environment.
