Today, Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) President Ekaterina Trendafilova ended her three day stay in Pristina. During her visit, she met with law students to discuss the legal framework of the KSC, its mandate and operation. She also visited the Documentation Center of the Humanitarian Law Center in Kosovo. In addition, Judge Trendafilova met with stakeholders, including representatives of European Union Member States, the European Union Special Representative in Kosovo and the EULEX Head of Mission. She met also the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, the Head of UNMIK and the Kosovo Ombudsperson in order to provide public information about the court’s mandate, administration and current activities.

“What I appreciated most about my visit to Kosovo was my meeting with university studens and I would like to thank them for their interest and all the questions they asked. The students demonstrated an excellent understanding of legal principles. Most moving was to see the exhibits at the Humanitarian Law Center which document the voices and experiences of the victims and survivors from the Kosovo war,” President Trendafilova said.
