Appeal hearing in the Mustafa case ends/judgment in due course

Following the submissions by the parties yesterday and today, as well as the personal address by the appellant Mustafa, the appeal hearing in this case has concluded.  The Defence repeated its submissions from the appeal brief that the convictions should be overturned and, in case they are affirmed, the sentence be reduced. On the other hand, the SPO stated that the sentence should not be significantly or at all impacted, even if some of the convictions are overturned by the Court of Appeals Panel.

The Court of Appeals Panel will render its judgment in due course.
