Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 23 March at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. The status conference in the Thaçi et al. case concluded for today. The opening statements are scheduled to begin on 3 April at 09:00.

Due to compelling humanitarian grounds, a Single Judge instructed the Registry to manage a custodial visit to Kosovo for Mr. Gucati yesterday to meet immediate family. The Accused remained in detention and in the custody of the Specialist Chambers. EULEX and Kosovo Police supported the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.

Trial Panel II issued a sixth decision on victims' participation in the Thaçi et al. case. Three new applicants were admitted to the proceedings as participating victims. They will be included in the existing group of victims (Group 1 with 137 participating victims previously admitted) and shall be represented by the same Victims' Counsel. Seven applications were rejected in the latest decision. This brings the total number of participating victims in this case to 140. More details here.
