At the end of the Defence preparation conference in the Gucati&Haradinaj case today, Trial Panel II issued a number of oral orders deciding, inter alia, that the Defence case will start tomorrow (3 December) with the opening statement of Gucati's Defence, followed by their presentation of evidence on 6 December. Haradinaj's Defence case will commence after the end of the Gucati's Defence case. The Panel set 17 January 2022 as the target date for the closure of the Defence cases and 1 March 2022 for the end of the evidentiary part of the whole case.

After the break, the defence preparation conference in the Gucati&Haradinaj case will resume at 12:00 (or at 12:45 in the delayed feed).

Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 2 December, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. The Trial Panel in the Gucati&Haradinaj case today denied the motions, filed by both Defence teams, to dismiss the charges against the accused, pursuant to Rule 130 of the KSC Rules of Procedure and Evidence. The decision is available here.

The trial against Salih Mustafa is adjourned for the week and the hearings, previously scheduled for 25 and 26 November, are cancelled. The trial will resume on Monday, 13 December, at 09:30.

The trial will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, 24 November, at 09:30.
