On 12 July 2021, Trial Panel I issued a decision setting out the modalities of victims’ participation in the trial against Salih Mustafa. In its decision, available here, the Panel also adopted definitions of victims' interests and rights.

As announced in our Court Calendar, the sixth Status Conference in the case against Thaҫi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 21 July, at 14:30 More information in the scheduling order.

Pursuant to the findings of the Court of Appeals Panel and the order by the Pre-Trial Judge on 23 June, the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office filed the corrected indictment in the case against Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj. The indictment is available here.

Due to compelling humanitarian grounds, the Pre-Trial Judge has instructed the Registry to manage a custodial visit to Kosovo for Mr. Veseli to mourn with immediate family. The Accused remains in pre-trial detention and in the custody of the Specialist Chambers. EULEX and Kosovo Police are supporting the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.

On 23 June 2021, Pre-Trial Judge Guillou rejected the application for provisional release of Pjetër Shala. The decision is available here.

Following the decision earlier today by the Court of Appeals Panel, the Pre-Trial Judge in the Gucati & Haradinaj case has amended the previous date for transmission of the case file to the Trial Panel to 16 July 2021. He also ordered the SPO to file the corrected indictment by 5 July and the Defence to file their pre-trials brief (if they so wish) by 12 July. Furthermore, the hearing in this case, initially scheduled for this Friday, 25 June, has been rescheduled for 14 July at 15:00. Here is the link to the decision.

On 23 June 2021, the Court of Appeals Panel granted, in part, the appeals by Gucati and Haradinaj in relation to alleged defects in the form of the indictment against them. Having found the indictment defective in certain respect, the Court of Appeals ordered that a corrected version of the indictment be filed by the SPO. Here is the full decision.

During the status conference in the Shala case today, Pre-Trial Judge Guillou ordered the SPO to file its pre-trial brief in this case by 19 November 2021.
