    Thaçi et al. trial: status conference completes/trial continues tomorrow (23 January)

    During the status conference in the Thaçi et al. case today, the SPO announced that they currently anticipate to call 11 witnesses in court in the period from February until April 2025. They also stated that their next update on the number of witnesses will be provided by 30 January. Moreover, the parties talked about future aspects, such as Rule 130 motions and the length of the Victims’ Counsel's and Defence cases, if any.*

    The Thaçi et al. trial will resume tomorrow, 23 January, with a regular hearing scheduled to begin at 09:00.

    Following the completion of the testimony of Hansjoerg Strohmeyer, the SPO called its new witness today. This is a forensic pathologist John Clark, who is testifying as an expert witness.

    Thaçi et al. trial: SPO’s 114th witness starts testimony

    SPO witness Hansjoerg Strohmeyer has begun testimony this morning.  According to the SPO summary in court, this witness was the legal adviser to the Interim Special Representative of the Secretary General for the UN mission to Kosovo from June to September 1999. This is the 114th SPO witness in court so far.

    P. Shala: Defence granted more time to file notice of appeal against Reparation Order

    In the case of Pjetër Shala, the Court of Appeals Panel granted the Defence's request for an extension of time, setting the deadline for the Defence to submit its notice of appeal against the Reparation Order to 28 January 2025. The same timeline applies to the Victims’ Counsel, should he choose to file a notice of appeal.     KSC Weekly Press Briefing on 16 January

    Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 16 January, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court.
