Please be informed that the indictment in Albanian and Serbian is now available in the Public Court Records.

On 29 November 2024, a Pre-Trial Judge of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers confirmed an indictment against Hashim Thaçi, Bashkim Smakaj, Fadil Fazliu, Isni Kilaj and Hajredin Kuçi, and subsequently issued four separate arrest warrants and one summons.

The indictment charges the accused with offences related to alleged unlawful efforts to influence witness testimonies in the Thaci et al war crimes trial. More details in the Press Release.

Following the completion of the testimony of witness W01225, the trial in the case of Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi adjourned for today and for the week. The trial will resume after the winter recess on 13 January 2025.

Following the completion of Sokol Bashota ’s testimony, the SPO called its next witness today. This is protected witness W01225, who was, according to the Prosecution’s summary in court, arrested by armed KLA members in 1999, and then detained and mistreated at a KLA location.

During today's hearing, the Panel issued an oral order concerning the proposal from the Victims’ Counsel from 2 October this year, which pertains to the chronology for the Victims’ Counsel case and request for reparations. After confirming that all parties were in agreement, the panel ordered that the Victims’ case will be called following the conclusion of the SPO case and the Rule 130 proceedings, but prior to the commencement of the Defence case, if any. Regarding the potential requests for reparations from the Victims’ counsel, these should be filed after the case's judgment and once any verdict on the counts has been determined.
