    The testimony of witness W04337 resumed this morning in the Thaçi et al. trial. Selimi’s Defence is currently cross-examining the witness.

    Thaçi et al. trial: testimony of new SPO witness

    The 12th SPO witness in the trial against Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi is protected witness W04337, who will testify about his alleged detention by the KLA in 1998.

    Shala trial: Defence’s notice on its case/dismissal of charges

    As per Panel’s oral order from 16 June, the Defence of Pjetër Shala gave notice of its intention to file a motion to dismiss certain charges against the accused under Rule 130 of the Rules as well as its intention to present its case pursuant to Rule 119(1) of the Rules. More details can be found in the actual Notice.

    Pending the outcome of the Rule 130 motion, the Defence case is currently scheduled to commence on 18 September 2023.

    KSC Weekly Press Briefing on 6 July

    Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 6 July, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions. Pre-registration is required to attend each briefing. To pre-register, please send an email with name and affiliation to [email protected]. Deadline for pre-registration is every Thursday at 12:00. The Zoom details will be shared following pre-registration. Recordings of the update provided during the Weekly Press Briefings will be made available on the KSC YouTube Channel.

    Shala trial adjourned until 21 August

    Following the completion of testimony of the SPO’s 10th witness William Goodwin, the trial against Shala is adjourned for today and the rest of the hearings this week are cancelled. The trial will resume on 21 August 2023 at 09:30.

    Following the completion of testimony of the SPO’s witness Marek Gasior, today’s hearing in the Shala trial has adjourned. The trial will resume tomorrow (Tuesday, 4 July), at 09:30, with a testimony of another SPO’s expert witness.
