Trial Panel I today, 8 November, scheduled the delivery of the Reparation Order in the case against Pjetër Shala on 29 November at 11:00. The scheduling order can be found here.

Following the completion of Shukri Buja’s testimony, the trial in the Thaçi et al. case has adjourned for the day and the week. The trial will resume on Monday, 18 November 2024, at 09:00.

This morning, Shukri Buja, the 103rd witness for the Prosecution, has continued his testimony in court. After the Thaçi Defence conducted their cross-examination yesterday, the Defence team for Kadri Veseli has now begun questioning this witness.

Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 7 November, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. The Prosecution’s 103rd witness in court Shukri Buja has resumed his testimony this morning.  

The SPO has resumed with the direct examination of its 103rd witness Shukri Buja.

Please note that following the lunch break, there will be a break lasting 15 minutes at 15:00 (or 15:45 for those watching online). After that, the trial is anticipated to proceed until 16:30 (or 17:15 for the online viewers). 

Please be informed that the trial in the Thaci et al. case is on a lunch break until 13:30 (14:15 in the online stream). 

Shukri Buja is the new SPO witness, and his testimony began this morning. After the witness and his duty counsel made their submissions in court, the Panel, pursuant to Rule 151(2), decided to compel the witness to testify due to, inter alia, the importance and uniqueness of his testimony, as well as the limited nature of the possible self-incrimination. According to the same Rule, paragraph 3, the Panel assured the witness that his evidence would be given in camera, not disclosed to the public, and would not be used against him in any subsequent prosecution before the KSC, except under Article 15 (2) of the Law and Rule 65 of the Rules. The trial then moved into closed session.
