The pronouncement of the reparation order in the Mustafa case has commenced (with a delay of 10 minutes). 

Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 6 April at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. Following the completion of the last Defence team’s opening statement (Krasniqi), including the unsworn statements of the accused, pursuant to Rule 142(1) of the Rules, the hearing is adjourned for today. The trial in the Thaçi et al. case will resume on 11 April at 09:00 with the beginning of the SPO’s presentation of evidence.

The presentation of the opening statement by the Defence of Jakup Krasniqi has just commenced.

As per order of the Trial Panel, the SPO filed, on 3 April, a public redacted version of its corrected pre-trial brief in the case against Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi.

On 3 April 2023, the Court of the Appeals Panel granted in part a request by Mustafa Defence for an extension of the time limit and authorised it to file its appeal brief by 24 April 2023. More details in the decision.

Today, Thaçi’s, Veseli’s and Selimi’s Defence teams completed their opening statements, including the unsworn statements by Thaci and Selimi, pursuant to Rule 142(1) of the Rules. The trial will resume tomorrow, 5 April, at 09:00 with the opening statement of the Krasniqi’s Defence.

The Defence of Rexhep Selimi is now presenting its opening statement, preceded by the unsworn statement of the accused.

The second Defence team is now addressing the Court.

The Defence of Hashim Thaçi is now making its opening statement.
