Please be informed that the trial preparation conference in the case against Pjetër Shala concluded for today. During today’s hearing, the Trial Panel issued a number of oral orders relating to deadlines for filing submissions with respect to, inter alia,  the SPO’s list of witnesses and exhibits, dual status of victims and witnesses and the reparation proceedings. The Panel also announced that it intends to issue relevant decisions such as setting the date for the commencement of the trial, victims’ participation and conduct of the proceedings in the upcoming period.

Please be informed that the trial preparation conference in the Shala case will start 15 minutes later than scheduled (09:45 live or at 10:30 in the online broadcast).

As can be seen in our court calendar, the trial preparation conference in the Shala case on Wednesday, 19 October, will sit from 09:30 until 13:00 and not until 16:00 as previously announced.

As announced in our Court Calendar, next Status Conference in the case against Thaci, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi is scheduled for 4 November at 13:30. More details in the scheduling order.

The Trial Panel in the Shala case decided to convene a trial preparation conference, in public session, from 18 until 20 October 2022 in the presence of the SPO, the Defence, Victims’ Counsel and the Registry (Witness Protection and Support Office-WPSO) with 21 October as a reserve day. The Panel also decided to convene additional trial preparation conference on the same dates, which will be held ex-parte and in closed session, as soon as the public sessions are completed. This additional trial preparation conference will be held in the presence of the SPO, WPSO and a representative of the Registry. Pursuant to Pre-Trial Judge’s decisions on 22 July 2022 and 29 September 2022, Specialist Prosecutor’s Office today, 30 September, submitted the confirmed amended indictment in the case against Thaci, Veseli, Krasniqi and Selimi.
