KSC Weekly Press Briefing on 23 November
Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 23 November, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions. Pre-registration is required to attend each briefing. To pre-register, please send an email with name and affiliation to [email protected]. Deadline for pre-registration is every Thursday at 12:00. The Zoom details will be shared following pre-registration. Recordings of the update provided during the Weekly Press Briefings will be made available on the KSC YouTube Channel.
Shala trial: 6th Defence witness continues testimony
Defence witness Safete Hadergjonaj resumed her testimony this morning. The Victims’ counsel is currently putting questions to the witness.
Thaҫi et al. trial: Panel adjourns testimony of protected witness W04577
In relation to the testimony of protected witness W04577, who attended the court to testify in October, the Trial Panel in the Thaҫi et al. trial granted the request by the witness’ duty counsel and adjourned this testimony until further notice. Following the finding by the KSC Witness Protection and Support Office (WPSO) that the witness is presently unfit to testify, the Panel ordered the WPSO to liaise with the witness and, subject to the necessary consents, report back to the Panel every two months on the witness’ fitness to testify.

The 6th Defence witness in the Shala trial is Safete Hadergjonaj.
Shala trial: modified court schedule of today’s hearing (22/11/2023)
The lunch break today will be until 14:00 (or 14:45 in the delayed stream online). After that, there will be another session from 14:00 until 15:30 (14:45 – 16:15 online), followed by a 10-minute break. The last session should then last until 16:00 or 16:10 (16:45-16:55 online).

After the break, the second session in the Shala case will resume at 12:20 (or at 13:05 in the delayed feed).
