Due to technical difficulties, there were problems with both previewing and downloading filings from the KSC Public Court Records (PCR) this morning. The problem has been resolved and the PCR is functioning correctly.

This morning, the 53rd witness for the Prosecution, Shaun Byrnes, continued his testimony. Jakup Krasniqi's Defence team is currently cross-examining him.

On 22 March 2024, the Trial Panel in the Thaçi et al. case made a decision regarding Rexhep Selimi's request to review the Registrar's denial to reconsider three conditions imposed on the accused's visits and communications.

The Panel rejected the Defence request, as it found that the Registrar acted within her authority, properly balanced relevant factual circumstances, and did not violate Selimi’s rights, among other findings. However, the Registrar was instructed to further explore possibilities and make reasonable efforts regarding certain aspects of non-privileged in-person visits and telephone calls.

The testimony of Shaun Byrnes, the 53rd witness for the Prosecution, was resumed this morning. Currently, the Defence team for Hashim Thaçi is cross-examining him.

The new SPO witness is Shaun Byrnes, who was, according to the SPO, Head of the US Kosovo Diplomatic Observer Mission (US KDOM) from August 1998 until July 1999. As per the Panel's previous ruling, a representative from the US Government is accompanying the witness in the courtroom.

Please be informed that all the hearings in the Thaçi et al. case until the summer recess will last from 09:00 until 16:30, instead of the previously scheduled 16:00.
