KSC Weekly Press Briefing on 6 April
Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 6 April at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions. Pre-registration is required to attend each briefing. To pre-register, please send an email with name and affiliation to [email protected]. Deadline for pre-registration is every Thursday at 12:00. The Zoom details will be shared following pre-registration. Recordings of the update provided during the Weekly Press Briefings will be made available on the KSC YouTube Channel.
Thaçi et al. trial: Opening statements concluded/trial resumes on 11 April
Following the completion of the last Defence team’s opening statement (Krasniqi), including the unsworn statements of the accused, pursuant to Rule 142(1) of the Rules, the hearing is adjourned for today. The trial in the Thaçi et al. case will resume on 11 April at 09:00 with the beginning of the SPO’s presentation of evidence.

Thaçi et al. case: SPO’s pre-trial brief available
As per order of the Trial Panel, the SPO filed, on 3 April, a public redacted version of its corrected pre-trial brief in the case against Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi.
Mustafa case: Defence to file appeal brief by 24 April
On 3 April 2023, the Court of the Appeals Panel granted in part a request by Mustafa Defence for an extension of the time limit and authorised it to file its appeal brief by 24 April 2023. More details in the decision.
Thaçi et al: second trial day ends
Today, Thaçi’s, Veseli’s and Selimi’s Defence teams completed their opening statements, including the unsworn statements by Thaci and Selimi, pursuant to Rule 142(1) of the Rules. The trial will resume tomorrow, 5 April, at 09:00 with the opening statement of the Krasniqi’s Defence.

The Defence of Rexhep Selimi is now presenting its opening statement, preceded by the unsworn statement of the accused.

Following the completion of the opening statement by the Victims’ counsel, today’s hearing in the Thaçi et al. case is adjourned. The trial will resume tomorrow, 4 April, at 09:00 with the opening statements by the Defence teams (starting with Thaci’s Defence).
