After the SPO witness Halim Berisha finished testifying, the SPO called its 88th witness in court today. This is protected witness W04366, who was, according to the SPO, arrested by certain KLA members in 1999 and later taken and mistreated in the Kukёs/Kukeš metal factory in Albania. The testimony of this witness is also conducted via video-link.

After the Prosecution's 86th witness W01129 testified yesterday, today, a new SPO witness, Halim Berisha, began giving testimony. According to the Prosecution, in April 1999, Berisha escorted a person to the Zllash/Zlaš detention compound in Kosovo and later learned of the person's death. This testimony is being conducted through a video link, with the witness receiving assistance from a duty counsel at a remote location.

Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 19 September, at 14:30. The SPO’s 86th witness has started testifying in court this afternoon. This is another protected witness with pseudonym W01129. According to the SPO, this witness was abducted by a group of armed KLA members near the Belaćevac mine in Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje in mid-June 1999 and was subsequently detained at various locations in the area. The witness is providing testimony through a video link.

This morning, protected witness W04737 continued the testimony that started on 16 September. This is the 85th SPO witness to testify in court since the trial began last year.

The Prosecution's 85th witness W04737 resumed the testimony this morning, which began yesterday.

In accordance with the Panel's order from 29 May, the SPO announced today, 16 September, that it will no longer rely upon the evidence of eleven witnesses. Additionally, the SPO will present the statements of 7 witnesses in written form instead of live testimony in court. Further information can be found in the notice.

Protected witness W04737 is the next SPO witness, whose testimony commenced this morning. According to the SPO, this witness is a former KLA member in the Pashtrik Operational Zone. The testimony of this witness is expected to take place mostly in private session.
