The accused remains in detention and in the custody of the Specialist Chambers. EULEX and Kosovo Police are supporting the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.

KSC Weekly Press Briefing on 10 October
Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 10 October, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions. Pre-registration is required to attend each briefing. To pre-register, please send an email with name and affiliation to [email protected]. Deadline for pre-registration is every Thursday at 12:00. The Zoom details will be shared following pre-registration. Recordings of the update provided during the Weekly Press Briefings will be made available on the KSC YouTube Channel.
Januzi et al: last trial preparation conf. concludes/specific orders to follow
During today’s trial preparation conference in the Januzi et al. case, the Panel issued a number of oral orders, all of which are based on the anticipated commencement date of the trial, envisaged for 8 November 2024. Among other matters, the Panel addressed the unavailability of Januzi’s lead counsel on 11 and 12 November. The Panel decided that, if necessary, Januzi can be represented by his co-counsel during this period. The Panel also ordered the Defence teams to file their list of witnesses by 4 November 2024. Lastly, the Panel announced that it will issue a number of relevant decisions in due course, including the one on the date for the start of the trial.
This was the last trial preparation conference in this case, so the hearings for the rest of this week are cancelled.

Januzi et al: today’s trial preparation conference adjourned/resumes tomorrow at 14:00
Today's trial preparation conference in the Januzi et al. case has ended. Tomorrow's hearing will start at 14:00, during which the panel is expected to issue a number of oral orders and provide updates on the upcoming decisions in the following weeks.
During today's hearing, the Panel announced that it intends to anticipate the commencement of the trial on Friday, 8 November, with opening statements. Subsequently, the trial would resume with the full week of hearings from 11 till 15 November. In this respect, the Defence teams are to inform about their availability during these two periods by midday tomorrow, 8 October.
Januzi et al: timetable of hearings on 7-9 October
Following the Panel's announcement this morning, please note that the hearings on 7, 8, and 9 October are expected to have four sessions, with regular breaks and a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00.

As previously announced, trial preparation conferences are scheduled for this week in the Januzi et al. case, with the first one starting this morning at 09:30.

Constitutional Court Panel assigned to deal with Salih Mustafa’s referral
On 3 October 2024, President Trendafilova assigned a Constitutional Court Panel to rule on the referral, filed by Salih Mustafa on 27 September 2024. Judges Vidar Stensland, Roumen Nenkov, and Romina Incutti will decide on this referral, which follows the Supreme Court decision from 29 July this year.
Please note that there is another potential referral by the Victims’ Counsel and the SPO in relation to Mustafa’s sentence, we informed about earlier.
