On 26 May 2020, the Specialist Chamber of the Constitutional Court (SCCC) issued its judgment, finding that all 30 amendments to the Rules of Procedure and Evidence (Rules) adopted by the Judges during their fifth Plenary on 29 and 30 April 2020 comply with Chapter II of the Constitution.
In accordance with Rule 7(7) of the Rules, the adopted amendments will enter into force today, seven days after the SCCC’s finding of compliance. The Rule amendments clarify several provisions and are generally aimed at ensuring more efficient and effective proceedings.
